Why you should change the locks in the home you purchase.
The simple fact is you have no idea who may have a key.
Especially in new construction. There are a lot of different craftsmen and technicians who need access to the home when it is being built. Most Contractors are honest enough, but they don't always know where the extra keys to the home are, or who has one, or had a copy made. It's an easy thing to run down to the hardware store to have a copy made for a helper or sub subcontractor.
Did you Purchase a pre owned Home? How many house sitters, dog sitters, friends or family may have a key? I don't know. Do you? The owner may not even know. People tend to lose track of such things.
